3D Artist and Designer Mark Mitchell was selected to be published in the UK’s most comprehensive and prestigious illustration book, Images 36.

Owner of the Mitchell 3D Design Studio in Devon, Mark’s work comprises of Photo-realistic 3D illustration, Animation and 2D Graphic Design for well known household names and manufacturers including Carlsberg, Bayer, Which, Durex and Carlton TV.

Artistically influenced by Photo-realists such as John Salt and Chuck Close Mark has developed his own unique style, making him one of the leading photo- realistic 3D artists in the UK.

His design and illustrations have previously received industry accolades, but it was a great honour to have been jury selected for Images 36 - the best of British illustration 2012.

“Images” is the UK’s leading illustration competition, annual awards show
and touring exhibition dedicated to showcasing the very best in new British illustration. 

The competition is organised annually by the Association of Illustrators (AOI), 2012 being it’s thirteenth. It is unique in that it is Britain’s only jury- selected illustration competition, judged by a highly respected panel of industry experts. Only the highest scoring images win the right to feature in the book.

Delighted to be chosen to feature in Images 36, Mark also enjoyed participating in the Award Event on the 2nd of October 2012. Joining this years winners for an evenings celebration at the launch of the book at Somerset House, a major arts and cultural centre in the heart of London.
